The prestigious Barwa Financial District is a giant project designed to be one of Doha’s landmark sights and serve the local and international financial sector. Located in Doha’s new business city, West Bay, the Financial District is a multi-use complex consisting of nine 18 to 52 storey office towers that also house a five-star hotel, a shopping centre and other facilities. The project will cost 1.3bn USD and is planned to be finished in late 2013. MEVA’s slab formwork system MevaDec (with 9,000 m² of MevaDec panels) and the girder formwork MevaFlex are used to pour the slabs of three office towers (among them is the highest building of the entire district with over 50 slabs).
